PATHETIC DISPLAY
I wish we would have gone to the Los Angeles Dodgers game because the Cubs had to have played better than the Sox played last night! It was a pathetic display. Afterwards, I went right home because I was tired. Joe has real work tomorrow but I can sleep a bit since I am a writer and now with my own column. Or so I thought. When I got home, there was a message on my machine from my editor. Apparently, my grasslands column was the most boring thing he had ever seen. He wanted to know why I didn’t write about catching the Texas Holdem Bandits, since that was a lot more interesting than me cleaning up garbage in a bird sanctuary. He says I have only one more chance to write a good column by next week or I have to go back to reporting just plain news. I asked for two weeks and he said it was okay. I talked to Donna for a bit today. She has also decided to help senior citizens by cleaning out their closets and taking the stuff to the Good will. Father Rich would be proud. I called him but was unable to get an answer. Joe wants to get MLB Tickets for at least one Sox game this year.
