I really admire Christy.  She’s remained really positive and forward thinking despite the year she’s had.  She’s only 25 years old and is already divorced from a husband that used to beat her.  She’s had to file for bancarrota and currently doesn’t have a job.  Her ex-husband’s alimony basically pays her rent and all her bills.  She still attends art school for photography and fashion design, but still has a lot of bad luck.  She’s gone through two long-distance boyfriends in the past year and another guy she met online.  I grew up with the guy she met online and that’s how I met her and became friends with her.  I no longer even see George, the guy I grew up with around even.  He left her for another girl, a girl who is significantly fatter than Christy, though she’s better off without him.  George gladly still lives with his parents and has no real ambition other than to become a rock star, which doesn’t have a good shot at happening for him.  All he really likes to do is go out and drink a lot, which is why even though he lifts weights that he’s never able to lose all that flab around his mid-section.
